Amazing

Floor could be better.

The tent is awsome. But in the rain not so much. If you use the ground sheet. (Amazing btw) it holds all the water and it's like a pond liner. So under tent gets soaked. If you guys made a new floor liner to zip in to replace the floor like the material for the ground sheet. That would be awsome.

Hi Hayden! Glad you're loving your tent!
We've updated the user guide advice for how to set up your tent in different conditions which would probably help solve the issues you're having with water under the tent. Here's the direct link to the guide: https://overlandish.com/pages/faq
Don't forget to use NikWax for extra protection!

Better than expected!

I set up my Basecamp SOLO to Nixwax treat it. It was very easy to set up and stow away. I look forward to using it soon!

Pulled Through Like A Champ During Very Strong Winds In The CO High Country

I received my SOLO tent very quickly after I ordered it. I set it up right away to check it out and all seemed good with the tent. Only minor issue is the door zippers can be a bit tight but I suspect with continued use, the side walls will stretch a bit and relax the area near the zippers for the doors. I have not put any sort of zipper lubrication on them yet but I plan to.

I waited to review this tent as I needed to use it first, which came down to winter camping in CO. The first location I chose was beautiful when I arrived. Temps were between 20f - 31f, clear with blue skies, light to no winds, it appeared to be a great place. That is until I was awoken at around 11pm to very intense wind gusts. Dummy me didn't expect the unexpected which meant I had no guy lines out, poor planning on my part. Anyone who has lived in CO knows I should have had guy lines set even though there were absolutely no winds leading up to late that night. During a gust, I did experience one sidewall getting pushed back in but that was completely my fault. The gusts got stronger, even to a point when I was setting a guy line on the side that got pushed in, the gust moved the tent with me holding the tent, it was pretty severe. I ultimately ended up getting four lines set, one to each sidewall. The gusts didn't calm down, only continuing to intensify and about 30 minutes later, I went and set lines at each top corner too, staked the footprint and also set 4 guy lines on my diesel heater to keep it from blowing over. Did I say the winds were bad? I do need to say the experience was worrisome and that I may have made a mistake being at this spot. The SOLO came through like a champ though and proved its winter tent camping capability, I'm impressed as I inadvertently put it through its paces without intending to do so. I left that area to go camp next to a river with far less wind potential.

The built in heater/AC ducting ports are a really nice feature and certainly a selling point for me. The tent material seems very strong, tent construction held up to a "test" that I hope I don't have to go through again, lol. I did get the weather pack as I wanted the rainfly, but I haven't used the rainfly yet. I did use the footprint ground sheet, it is big and seems very durable. The tent vents well when needed and at a low of 17f with 77% relative humidity next to a river, there was no condensation using a diesel heater and one top vent open. Am I pleased with my purchase? Yes.

Finally, reach out to Mark if you have any questions. I did and he was very helpful in providing further detail with questions I had. He even did a video chat to show me interior space.
